Amish Soup Recipes

Good things take time! These two Amish soup recipes may take a little 'time to do, but it's worth it. Each use basic ingredients that are not hard to find, and whole chickens.

Recipe # 1 - Amish Chicken Noodle Soup

£ 3Chicken

2 quarters. Water

2 tsp. Sale

1 1 / 2 c. Chicken soup

2 C. chopped celery

2 C. chopped carrots

1 tart apple, chopped

C. 1 onion, chopped

Pinch of pepper

4 c. Egg pasta

Place the chicken in the pot with 2 liters of water. Coverage until everything is soft (about 2 1 / 2 hours). Remove the chicken from the pot of broth and strain. Debon and return the pan with the chicken stock to stock. Add the chicken broth, celery, carrot, apple, onion andPepper and cook until vegetables are soft. Add noodles and cook 8-10 minutes.

Recipe # 2 - Amish Chicken - Corn Soup

£ 2. Cut the chicken

5 c. Water

1 med onion, chopped

2 tbsp. chopped parsley

1 / 2 c. chopped celery

2 cup corn

Salt and pepper

1C Farina

1 egg, beaten

1 / 4 cup milk

Cook chicken in boiling water, remove bones and skin. Strain the broth. Return to the pot, onion, celery and corn.Simmer until vegetables are soft. Mix the flour with the eggs and milk. Rub the mixture with a fork until it breaks. Drop crumbs in soup. Bake 10 minutes covered. Fa 3-4.
